The Rachem Team
It has been an exciting journey of how the medical practitioners involved at Rachem Wellness came to be.
We believe everyone involved at Rachem Wellness is meant to be here and has an invaluable role to fulfill. Our unique ability and approach at Rachem are due to the combination of our collective training and education, our professional- and life experiences as well as the desire we share for people to reach optimal health and wellness.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of general practitioners, dietitians, physiotherapists, psychologists, biokineticists, an aesthetic GP, a pastoral counsellor, and a podiatrist, all working together to provide holistic, comprehensive, and patient-centred care.
Most of our practitioners are women, many of whom are also mothers. As a practice, we understand the importance of balancing professional responsibilities with family life, and we strive to create opportunities that allow practitioners to pursue both. Our session rooms provide an ideal environment for practitioners who may not wish to work full time, enabling them to continue building meaningful careers while also prioritising their families or growing other aspects of their practices.
Over the years, several practices within our multidisciplinary team have expanded successfully through collaboration and shared support. Practices such as Mariné Burger Biokineticist, Kotze and Bensch Physiotherapy, and Magriet Barnard Dieëtkindiges have grown to include multiple practitioners, creating greater flexibility, sustainability, and the opportunity for a healthier work-life balance.
Our philosophy is rooted in teamwork, collaboration, and genuine care for people. Should we not be able to assist you effectively ourselves, we will gladly guide you to the practitioner or service best suited to your needs.

Individuals are assisted to better understand themselves and their circumstances through therapy and begin to make significant changes in their lives through the collaborative processes that take place in psychotherapy.
She prefers to work from a Cognitive-Behavioural paradigm, whilst integrating a wide variety of therapeutic techniques. With this approach, she acknowledges that each individual whom she treats is unique.
It wasn’t one specific event or catalyst that lead her down the career path she pursued, but rather many different significant life experiences which contributed to her decision. She believes that she is an adaptable person, who is open to new experiences and challenges.
She was raised and studied in Potchefstroom. After she completed her studies, she left her hometown for a few years to follow the path her career choice laid out for her. She was happy to return home in 2018 with her husband and two children after having spent a number of years in Pretoria.

What is Neurofeedback?
- It is a form of operant conditioning in which the client is being rewarded by means of visual and auditory feedback during the training of the brain. The brain will therefore learn to change and reach a desired goal. The training is non-invasive, and the person can change his/her own brainwave pattern. The person learns to self-regulate.
- Dr Boshoff makes use of Thought Technology (computer software) that will provide the client with instant visual and auditory feedback. Sensors are attached to the scalp and based on where the sensors are placed, that area of the brain is trained.
- Neurofeedback meets the criteria specified by APA (American Psychological Association) and it is evidence based. Dr Boshoff is currently providing neurofeedback for children and adults who struggle with concentration problems and anxiety. Research has shown that Neurofeedback can be an effective option for the aforementioned.
Dr Boshoff strives to allow her clients to reach their true potential and to develop their emotional wellbeing and get a better understanding of who they are.
“Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.” – Mary Kay Ash
“You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.” – Brian Tracy
